EHS Manager (f/m/div.)

A leading globally active manufacturer of engineered materials.  Their product solutions can be found in the fields of personal hygiene, F&B applications, building and industrial products, home care and more. Our client is a branch leader with innovative technologies and processes with focus on a sustainable future. 

Key Tasks:
  • manage and coordinate Environment, Health and Safety systems, certifications and audits to achieve business objectives and performance 
  • be a role model for safety, environment, hygiene and compliance
  • oversee EHS metrics, reporting & communication
  • ensure Continuous Improvement in the EHS management and systems in compliance with business objectives and business excellence standards and requirements of the external certification body and customers
  • direct and support mills on the investigations of root cause(s) of near misses / incidents / accidents, non-performance and environmental failures
  • ensure that corrective actions are in place and implemented for all non-conformances detected during audits, daily work processes
  • drive cultural change for employees to align with company and central processes
  • uphold company values and code of conduct
Education / Experience:
  • degree in process engineering, chemistry, paper technology, engineering, business management, quality management or alternatively degree in other area with relevant professional experience in the field of EHS
  • several years of experience in EHS in the process industry
  • strong background in EHS procedures and their implementation and constant improvement
  • ideally experience in pulp, paper- or related process industry
  • expertise in WWTP chemistry and EHS certifications
  • experience in project management
