Global Product Segment Manager (f/m/div.) F&B

A leading globally active manufacturer of engineered materials.  Their product solutions can be found in the fields of personal hygiene, F&B applications, building and industrial products, home care and more. Our client is a branch leader with innovative technologies and processes with focus on a sustainable future. 

Key Tasks:
  • develop an in-depth understanding of the trends and underlying drivers of the various applications in the segment
  • identify and understand impact of market trends and competitive environment of related industries
  • conduct detailed market research to enable data-based decision processes for tactical and strategical questions
  • deliver broad, deep and future-oriented market intelligence to the commercial organization
  • provide input to strategic planning and execution
  • plan and implement global segment strategies
  • define and propose growth strategies 
  • manage Product Life Cycle
  • define and review industry related product mix and value propositions - taking also competitive standing in consideration, define actions and industry entry strategies
  • monitor and report the success of the industry segments, propose corrective actions
  • provide input for product portfolio development in close cooperation with relevant departments
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree or University diploma or comparable education
  • several years of related professional experiences
  • industrial background in a commercial and product management role preferred, ideally in a production- or converting business in the process industry
  • strong track record in driving and delivering results
  • outstanding business- and commercial acumen, ability and willingness to apply best practices to other or new industry segments as needed
  • project management experience
  • experienced in working in matrix organizations

  • demonstrate strategic ability, leadership and drive for performance in a multi-cultural environment
  • entrepreneurial spirit with a solid understanding of international sales, marketing and distribution business management in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • high social competence, team player
  • ability to build and maintain a strong internal and external network
  • ability and willingness to international business travel
  • must be fluent in Englisch written and spoken
  • ability to speak and write German is considered a plus
