Sales Director Narrow Web DACH & Balkans (f/m/div.)

The international leading company is dedicated to serving the global printing and packaging industry with an extensive portfolio of printing consumables and printing equipment.

Key Tasks:
  • responsible for the Narrow Web business in DACH & Balkans, coordination of sales, customer service, technical service (incl. local blending), logistic activities in Germany & Switzerland, developing profitable sales and market penetration in the region
  • develop a segment and market strategy for the region in order to generate profitable growth, new business and / or to retain customers and maximize sales & profit
  • operative responsibility and acting as managing director for two sites
  • plan, direct and implement the sales activities by executing the agreed market strategy, leading the Sales and Technical team and achieving KPI objectives
  • establish, develop and implement the sales activities by executing the agreed market strategy, leading the Sales and Technical team and achieving KPI objectives
  • establish, develop and maintain first class and lasting relationships with existing and new key customers and strategic accounts
  • market launch of expanded and improved service offerings 
  • manage, develop and reinforce the Sales and Technical regional team organization and activities, prioritizing, planning and assigning the work of the team, establishing goals, monitoring performance, from product-oriented to a solution-oriented value-based approach
  • successful contribution to the sales operations planning process
  • collaborate with global functional leaders to execute regional plans successfully and contribute to the deployment of the global strategy through local contribution
Education / Experience:
  • University degree in business administration or similar education
  • solid background in packaging or related industries - process industry, B2B, specialty, value and solution selling
  • proven track record in Sales Leadership roles
  • managerial responsibility 
Personal Characteristics:
  • strong business and commercial acumen
  • demonstrable negotiation skills
  • ability to communicate with customers at senior and middle management level and to negotiate with CEO level contacts at the customer base and lead buyers of large groups
  • strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • ability to perform and interpret financial analysis
  • strategic thinker, able to develop regional and product related strategies and clear business plans
  • proven leadership skills and ability to build, inspire, develop and motivate teams
  • ability to deliver under pressure and close deadline
Languages:
  • must be fluent in English and German
