synthetic fibres processing industries.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Leading
the technical service effort for all glassfiber-related markets within Central
Europa (DACH) through the support of the critical success factors and goals of
the fiber business
Work with relevant managers to prioritize technical service and
market support projects
Manage and prioritize Technical Service activities
including support for existing or high margin products and launch of new
products
Resolve customer application/usage problems of a technical or
service nature
Make technical presentations on glass fibers to distributors,
customers, local society meetings and trade show meetings
Provide technical
training to sales, product development, distributors, and customers
Act as the
leading “applications problem solutions provider”
Work with lab manager
to design technical service/customer specific laboratory studies
Provides
guidance to the Product Manager on customer needs and potential new product
solutions
Collaboration with marketing and research to develop opportunities,
applications and product concepts for currently served or new markets
60 – 80%
travel time to customers or internally mainly within Central Europa, with some
support of US customers
Accountable for managing and continuously improving
product support timelines and the launch of new products/solutions
Responsible
to technically support new and focus product growth objectives
Provide prioritized
technical support to maximize standard gross margin and maintain standard gross
margin stream in accordance with the commercial objectives for the glass fibers business
Education / Experience:
Technical education with high commercial understanding
or vice versa
Several years in respective position, preferably from the glass
fibers business, thermoplastic compounding and/or polymers businesses
MS-Office
Package proficient, SAP helpful
