(Information and bidding phase from May 27, 2026 to July 15, 2026)
On behalf of Kelheim Fibres GmbH, BGH-Consulting GmbH has launched an international and structured sales process for the realization of substantial assets of the company. The objective of the process is to provide strategic investors, industrial companies, and specialized market participants with access to high-quality production facilities, technologies, and intellectual property originating from a traditional and technologically leading environment of the specialty fiber industry.
Kelheim Fibres GmbH, based in Kelheim, Bavaria, Germany, has been one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality viscose special fibers for decades and has extensive expertise in the development and production of innovative fiber solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.
Following the company's application for insolvency, the local Court of Regensburg by decision of January 1, 2025 (Case No. 2 IN 553/24) opened the self-administered insolvency proceedings and appointed Mr. Michael Verken as insolvency administrator. BGH-Consulting GmbH has been mandated to manage the structured marketing and realization process of the company’s assets.
Scope of assets for Sale
As part of the sales process, the following categories of assets and equipment are currently available for purchase:
Viscose Production Equipments
The scope of sale includes extensive production equipments related to viscose fiber manufacturing, including among others:
• Spinnerets and spinning nozzles
• Spinning lines
• Cutting lines
• Crimping machines
• Tanks and process vessels
• Packaging and conveyor systems
• Additional production-related equipments
The equipments originate from an established industrial production environment with many years of operational experience and are particularly suitable for companies operating in the fiber, textile, and specialty materials industries.
Laboratory, Pilot and Test Facilities
In addition, various laboratory and development facilities are available for sale, which have been previously used for research, development, and pilot applications. These assets offer attractive opportunities for technology-oriented companies and research institutions seeking to expand their R&D and testing capacities.
Intellectual Property and Technology
Another key focus of the sales process is on selected intellectual property rights and technological assets, including in particular:
• Patents and industrial property rights
• Trademark rights
• Operational and production processes
• Technological know-how
• Market access and application-specific expertise
These assets provide significant potential for strategic expansion, market entries, and the expansion of existing technology platforms.
Dolan Systems
In addition, various Dolan systems and related components are available for sale, including:
• Pilot plants
• Drying systems
• Dyeing systems
• other specialized equipment components
Phase 1: Information and bidding Phase
The first phase of the structured sales process runs in the period from:
May 27, 2026 to July 15, 2026
The process is open, transparent, and internationally oriented. During this phase, the following steps are planned, among others:
• Distribution of the Process Letter to interested parties
• Public announcement and marketing of the sales process
• Provision of relevant information and documentation
• Organization of coordinated site visits and inspections
• Opportunity to submit indicative offers
